Mary Williams
Mary Williams, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 22, 2012 with family at her side at LaVerendrye Hospital, Fort Frances, Ontario.
Mary was born Tuesday, January 19, 1937 in Newcastle, England and married John Williams of Dunston, England on July 20, 1957. After the birth of their three children the family spent a year in Africa before moving to Atikokan, Ontario, in 1973 and then to Fort Frances in 1982.
All who knew Mary loved her for her feisty and unpretentious character. Her love to dance with husband John and in later years with her special friends brought much joy and happiness to her life. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, volunteering with Special Olympics, and working various jobs among the public, but enjoyed nothing more than her children and grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children John and Dianne Williams, Alan and Annette Williams, Carol and Don McDermid, grandchildren Mindy and fiance Naman, Tyler, and Erin Williams, Morgan, Hannah, and Sarah McDermid, very special niece Gillian Gallagher and family Peter, Meghan, and Laura of Norwich, England, as well as numerous relatives throughout England.
She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents George and Eleanor, and sister Doreen.
